November 12, 2008 · Seminar "Central Policy and Oversight Functions in Government Procurement" for the Ministry of economy of Ukraine

USAID|TIBA led a seminar for specialists of the State Procurement Department of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. The purpose of this seminar was to provide information on best international practices in central policy and oversight functions in the sphere of government procurement.

 

November 11, 2008 · Seminar for the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine: "Promoting Procurement Professionalism in Ukraine"

USAID|TIBA led a seminar for specialists of the State Procurement Department of the Ministry of Economy with the aim of providing information on professional approaches to government procurement.

 

October 31, 2008 · Seminar: "State Veterinary Control and Supervision at Enterprises with HACCP Systems Introduced in the Context of Ukraine's WTO Accession and Efforts toward EU Integration"

During the seminar, USAID|TIBA provided officials from the State Committee of Veterinary Medicine of the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Committee for Technical Regulation and Consumer Policy (Derzhspozhivstandart), and the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine with information about trends and developments in international Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures and Technical Barriers to Trade in the areas of food safety management and biosecurity. The seminar contributed to improvement of the regulatory framework for HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).

 

October 16, 2008 · Workshop "Achieving HACCP and Food Safety Certification in the Ukrainian Food Industry: Requirements, Challenges, and Industry Perspectives"

This workshop included industry leaders, business associations, SMEs, and certification bodies, and focused on how HACCP and food safety certification can improve the business environment for SMEs. In addition, the workshop was aimed at linking food businesses and associations with HACCP consultants and consulting firms.

 

October 16, 2008 · Round table discussion "Guidelines for Business Associations to Promote and Establish HACCP Programs"

USAID|TIBA presented three guidelines for business/food associations to promote HACCP, facilitate business-to-business partnerships, and provide services to members that will facilitate introduction of HACCP.
